clean freak paradise

i have a confession: i'm obsessed with 90 degree angles. there, i feel better. i don't like anything on any surface that isn't organized perfectly on the square. it drives me crazy. i also hate clutter. or clothes on the floor. i love waking up to a perfectly clean bedroom - it just starts my day off right. and even though i prefer more color and personal belongings in my apartment than in the above pictures, when i see spaces like these, i think, "yeah. i would like to live there." or, "i should have been born in france." either way.

one painting | two ways

i found these two photos on pinterest, and i really like how this painting is styled in both of them. a painting/print/photo/canvas is such a cool and interesting alternative to a traditional headboard. a quick google image search (which amazes me every time...how does google know?!) revealed the name of the artist, Katie Brennan. You can buy this print from Williams-Sonoma, but Katie also has a lot of other cool artwork on her website. love finding a new artist!

etsy shop love

i really love etsy. over the years, i have sold handmade jewelry and original watercolors and collages under a few different shop names. i still have a few listings, and have gotten quite a few requests from a watercolor of a fiddle leaf fig tree i sold last year. i love seeing that painting get pinned! anyways, aside from my own endeavors, i love finding new shops and sharing them with others. in a sea of options, it's hard to find the ones you are really looking for! i would like to do these posts more often - to spread the love and to help me remember! here we go...
